Advancing Agricultural Energy Technologies (PON 3809)

Program Summary: This New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) Program Opportunity Notice (PON) 3809 is seeking applications for demonstrations of commercially-available clean energy technologies and practices with minimal penetration (“emerging”) on animal- and crop-production farms (“host sites”) in New York State (NYS). The goal of the solicitation is to accelerate the adoption and market penetration of these technologies and practices, which must provide cost-effective energy efficiency improvements compared to current standard technology or practice and must be replicable at farms throughout the State. This program is seeking participation from equipment developers, manufacturers, and vendors; animal- and crop-production farm owners; trade or professional organizations or utilities; universities and other academic institutions. Teaming is strongly encouraged to enhance the likelihood of project success.  Participants must be willing to share results and lessons learned to increase awareness of the technologies and practices via reporting and outreach to target audiences throughout the State.
