Charge Ready NY - Large Public Sector Project Program (PON 6141)

Description

NYSERDA seeks proposals from public sector organizations to develop large portfolios of public Level 2 electric vehicle charging sites within their jurisdictions in New York State using up to $35 million of State funding from the Sustainable Future Program. NYSERDA will fund a minimum of $1 million and a maximum of $15 million per award.

Public sector organizations are invited to apply to Program Opportunity Notice (PON) 6141. This funding opportunity is intended to encourage the installation of Level 2 charging equipment in New York State by reducing the cost of purchasing and installing the equipment and expanding access to EV chargers at public sites across the State. By increasing the availability of charging infrastructure, the Program will help accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles and benefit New Yorkers by reducing harmful emissions and dependence on fossil fuels.   

Proposed locations may be specifically identified or proposers may identify a designated project area, with individual sites identified at a later date. Site locations must be publicly owned property. Locations may be on-street or off-street and must be publicly accessible. Sites that require customer fees in addition to charging fees (e.g., paid parking lots or garages) are allowed. Only original equipment manufacturers, white-labeled models, and network service providers approved by NYSERDA through RFQL 5312: Charge Ready NY 2.0 Equipment and Network Qualification Process are eligible for this Program. 

NYSERDA will host an optional webinar for potential proposers on Tuesday, September 15. At the webinar, NYSERDA will discuss program and proposal requirements.
