Grid Modernization Grid Enhancing Technologies (PON 6149)

Description

Systematic improvements for operating and planning the electric grid are needed to accommodate widespread adoption of clean energy resources across New York State. The Grid Enhancing Technologies (GETs) solicitation, Program Opportunity Notice (PON) 6149, seeks innovative solutions for a broad range of technical areas. These solutions anticipate the performance needs of a cleaner transmission and distribution grid, as driven by New York State’s clean energy goals. The topic areas were developed in collaboration with the State’s utilities to address challenges to advance grid modernization. Up to $3 million is available per project for product developments and demonstrations.
