Commercialization Voucher (RFP 6140)

Description

NYSERDA seeks Implementation Managers to propose to Request for Proposal (RFP) #6140 who will 1) support climate tech startups through redeemable vouchers that fund predefined services provided by eligible service providers in the following Topic Areas and 2) have secured minimum cost share in these four Topic Areas:

  1. Lab Demo ($1.365M)
  2. Manufacturing Support ($3.41M)
  3. Certification and Validation Guidance ($500K)
  4. Regulatory and Permitting Guidance ($500K)

NYSERDA has a predefined availability of $5,775,000.00 in funding to award to organizations who wish to serve as Program Implementors. The funding amount outlined above is based on the Topic Area and will be awarded to one proposer per Topic Area. Eligible proposers must show strong program oversight and management and equitable (or primary) benefits to New York State Disadvantaged Communities (DACs). Eligible entities include: For-profit corporations, non-profit organizations, academic institutions, research organizations, individuals, government agencies, municipal utilities.

Responses to this solicitation are due by June 24, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. ET and must be submitted through NYSERDA’s online portal. 

NYSERDA will host an informational webinar on Monday, May 18, 2026 from 2:30 p.m. – 3:30 pm ET to provide more details on the solicitation, project requirements, and the application process.
